For my 'real job' I work in marketing and events for all types of clients, but one of them is a seafood distributing company. Karen - our lovely Beading Babes host - posted these projects at the end of January. I immediately selected the Fish Pendant by Linda Richmond, because I knew at the beginning of March I was scheduled to attend the Boston International Seafood Expo.
I decided to use regular seed beads instead of delicas, and I really like the way this turned out.
Going to the Expo was a very long day, because the show is huge and there is a ton of networking to be done....

...but I can honestly say - I don't remember a time when anything I wore, was commented on so very, very much! LOL!! Even this lady, who is a famous fisherwoman even commented on it!
I will definitely be making more of these in the very near future.
I love that this fish is articulated. I had a bit of a struggle putting the pieces together, but when I stopped trying to follow the instructions, it was easier to just do it my own way! Other than assembly though, I found the pattern rather easy and it came together nicely.

Ohhh how awesome. This fish reminds me of those squiggly cloisonne koi pendants I keep hoarding.
