P is for package from Poland!

So......I mentioned a few posts ago, that I was waiting on a package from Poland.  Last Monday I received news from Weronika, my contact for the beading group in Poland that the package was scanned in New Jersey!

But then, on Tuesday I received an email from a college math professor in Connecticut:

My mother sent my son a present, and in the box was another box with a bunch of beaded squares and some paperwork mentioning bead it forward.  How this box got in there no one has any idea, the squares are from Poland.  I googled and found you, I’m happy to send these forward if you tell me how.

WHAT!?!?!?!  And to make matters even more interesting, the gentleman's mother lives in Florida!!  So the package was in New Jersey....then Florida...then Connecticut...and ultimately Massachusetts.  I was so grateful that Jeff took the time to research where this belonged and very kindly sent the package right away.

The package was filled with absolutely wonderful squares from the group of Polish beaders!

Having grown up on pierogi, galumpkis & kapusta, I was happy to see my Polish heritage represented this year!

  1. Hi Amy,
Well now that gives new meaning to bead it forward! Oh if those little square could talk the story they would tell of there adventure from land to land. So glad Jeff had the where for all to research and find you, so the squares could make it to you.

  2. Wow! That's so cool and talk about serendipity. They are beautiful squares!

  3. I still don't belive in this story:)

  4. oh that is fantastic! so glad that they arrived where they were supposed to be :)

  5. That is one of the craziest postal stories ~ what the heck is up with that?!? And heartwarming too, knowing Jeff made the effort to have the squares reach their intended destination. Whew! You have quite a story to tell when you are at Beadfest auctioning off that wonderful wolf square.
