Blogging from A-Z • B • Beans

Today is brought to you by the letter "B"!

(Disclaimer: Although this is typically a blog about my beadwork, I do let other parts of my life seep into this blog.  Food and beverage is a huge part of my life as I am the marketing director of a fantastic restaurant group!)

Beans, beans, they're good for your heart.....

B is for beans!

Ah, delicious beans! They really are good for your heart and add great texture and flavor to so many dishes.  We even grow some beans on our produce farm located on site at one of the restaurants.

Here are some beans from a seed photo shoot I did last year with the farmer so I could try and document some items  from seed to the plate.

Here are some beans added to a pea salad!

And finally, some marinated fava beans topping white buck cheese on a crostini.

Come back tomorrow to see what we have in store for the letter "C"!

  1. Both of those dishes look really good - taking photos of food and making it look great is not an easy thing. Well done!

  2. Ah, legumes! We are making our way through back episodes of Third Rock with John Lithgow and Jane Curtin. I love this show --- it just makes me laugh. We just saw the episode with Laurie Metcalf (aka Sheldon's mom on Big Bang) where she repeatedly says "people think peanuts are nuts, but they are legumes" ... I completely lost count of how many times she said legumes in this episode. Now when I hear the word I can only hear her voice!

  4. Love the Bean. Not as much as Avocado, but I do try and add beans to a lot of dishes. How many times did you type "bead" instead of "beans" ? Your photography is mouthwatering and it is only Day B!
