Today is brought to you by the letter "H"!
(Disclaimer: Although this is typically a blog about my beadwork, I do let other parts of my life seep into this blog. Food and beverage is a huge part of my life as I am the marketing director of a fantastic restaurant group!)
H is for garlic and also for husk cherry!
Similiar in character to a cherry tomato, these lovely little fruits grow in a little husk paper shell. They are mild and sweet and work in dishes as well as a tomato or a berry, and as you will see below, because of their unusual appearance, our chefs also like to use them as a fun hors d'oeuvres plate garnish!

 |
Husk cherry vinaigrette on a duck breast entree! |
 |
Um...yes please....poundcake with black raspberry, husk cherry compote, and honey ice cream!
